Recognized as one of the country's top music education programs, Music in the Schools is dedicated to developing future generations of musicians as well as music lovers and is led by Berkeley Symphony Education Director Ming Luke.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Berkeley Symphony partnered with the Berkeley Public Library to launch Reading Is Instrumental - a free online video series for children which combines storytelling with music. Reading Is Instrumental is co-produced with the Berkeley Public Library Foundation and has received over 27,000 views since it was launched.
